In the year 2032, seven high school teenagers signed up to take part in an experimental time-travel study. They were only meant to travel 20 minutes back in time…but due to a technical error, 20 minutes turned into twenty years….landing them just short of the year 2012. Now, these seven teens are roaming around the halls of WMHS with their own parents, trying to blend in and figure out what the hell happened. They each must struggle to make sure their parents end up with each other, otherwise their very own existence is in jeopardy…

With the second half of the year about to start, there’s an influx of new student transfers to McKinley. Something about these new kids is strangely familiar, but no one can pinpoint what it is. Even though they hardly know each other, these new transfers seemingly find a way to get involved with everyone’s personal business, whether they’re wanted there or not. Despite everything, this is the final semester of the Gleeks’ high school experience and nothing is going to keep them from Nationals and from getting what they want.
